I recently made a video about not shading with black, and gave a few other strategies to choose from to boost your art's appearance. Ultimately how you shade your work can be a big trademark of your own personal style. I'd like to share some more tricks today.
Kanjon's Clips is my YouTube series focused on expressing
yourself through art and creative hobbies. We talk about the
technical skills, the highlights, the frustrations, and the
motivations behind art.

My name's Mt Kanjon (like "mount canyon") and I'm an artist of a few
years, having learned from scratch in my 30s. I like to draw creatures,
landscapes, and silly things. I still consider myself to be far from an
expert.
So what am I doing supposedly teaching art? I think that some of the
hardest challenges in art are things you struggle with early on, and
forget about as you progress. I've made it my goal to document and share
these tricks. Everyone's artistic journey will be different, but we can
all learn and share with each other.
My main teaching method is through video: "Kanjon's Clips" is my channel about the strategies and motivations
behind art. It's pretty much an art project on its own, with tips,
digital art lessions, Q&As, and so much more. Check it out!
If you're interested in the more "furry" side of things, you'll find
plenty of that on my socials, as well as my appearances on Furtrack and fursuit-specific accounts on Bluesky and Mastodon.
